There is something that I really need to say. Warning - this may upset Travis.
Suddenly 30 is honest to god one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. You can watch it over and over again - ala Zoolander - and so still laugh and love it. Jennifer Garner really deserved an Oscar nomination for that performance. And before you laugh in my face, watch it. What a great actress (and even better for naming her child Violet) and what a nice movie with a few laugh out loud's. She played that role to perfection, wore great outfits and was so funny. It's overtaken Notting Hill as my rom-com good movie.
Oh Gosh, I think my housemate's brother is over. I have a crush on him and told him when I was drunk of course and he's been asking about me and now I want to run away. So I think I might run away in to Eddie's room and see how Sally is doing on Home And Away since Drazic stabbed her and all.
Had an awesome weekend. Elvis and Gavin were in town. I love those boys so much. It went too quick. Though I am most certainly feeling the after effects of seediness.
I am going to go to the video shop soon and rent a pile of weeklys for, well, the week. The problem being that absolutely nothing comes to mind now naturally. Anyone got any suggestions they wanna throw out there?
Last night I got drunk and listened to Live Through This very loudly and screamed a long with Courtney. It was awesome.
Then I had a mammoth phone conversation with my sister. She had a funny (and scary) story. Our parents are away on a cruise and Jenny and her daughter were at their house and Jenny was feeding the cats. One of their cats, Wicket, pretty much lives outside and the other two, Misty and Wilson (like anyone cares) are inside cats. So Jenny had just fed Wicket and was walking through the house to go and check on her daughter and she saw someone creeping out towards the front door. She did the quick maths, "Parents? On a cruise. Sarah? In Melbourne. David (our brother)? In Asia..." so she went after the figure.
Turns out it was a robber who had sneaked in through the side of the house, picked up Jenny's bag and was trying to creep out the front door when she spotted him. She said she became like an animal. Her maternal instincts. Once she realised Tahli was fine, she became enraged at his rudeness, so she chased after him to his car, half open cat food in hand. The offender was busy fumbling for his keys in a desperate bid to get away. His shitty car had all the windows down. Jenny is hurling abuse at him and then notices that the windows are down and her bag is right there. So she simply reaches in and grabs it back. Then she swears some more and throws the open cat food tin in his car, cat food spilling everywhere.
So not only did he not get her handbag, he got a car full of stinky cat food. Go Jenny. You are awesome!
Is anyone going to the St Kilda festival? Let's all go and have a few drinks and get all giggly.
I'm bleaching my hair again. I forgot what a tedious task it is. I also forgot how yuk it makes my hair feel. I've gone three rounds and I'm down to a patchy light orangey/pink so another round or two should Courtney me up. I'm feeling the automatic need to dress grungey.
I was just reading the Aria charts. Who is Leona Lewis?
I was having some crazy shit dreams this morning about Heath Ledger, kinda sexual but I was getting him confused with Eddie and I was half asleep, half awake. Felt a bit WRONG.
Operation lose 10 kilos starts today. I reckon one is afforded better options and just generally treated better if one is hot (temperature wise I would be royalty at the moment if that is the case...) so it is time to become hot. Though with this unusual pimple outbreak I am currently undergoing, that is impossible. I wonder if it has anything to do with the beach since I seem to have taken up residence there. However, surely saltwater would be a help not a hindrance.
We watched Monster last night. Good movie.
I was kinda disappointed with So You Think You Can Dance. It felt like a real effort towards the end to be honest. I'm dedicating myself to too many shows I think. Lost and Survivor are really all that matter (Coincidentally Lost starts this week while Survivor finishes... - how convenient). I think some love directed at Underbelly might be in order too though.
Everything is good. Touch wood. Bit boring but good.
- Australian Open :P
- Lost back on tv Thursday week
- Mp3 player
- Diet Coke
- My friends (felt like shit tonight - particular note to Beck, Gavin and Meredith here for loving me off and making me piss my pants laughing)
- Vegetables and egg noodles
- Fruity Gordo goon
- Misleading people
- Federer losing in straight sets, hence tainting his campaign to get a record amount of Grand Slam titles
- Not having a ticket to the V Festival or Incubus (Jim Ward playing at both)
- Heath Ledger's death (and please no controversial comments)
- I miss my Mum (but she is on a cruise with Dad and some friends so it's a pro too)
- Being fat and ugly
- No air conditioning
Is anyone else obsessed with the Australian Open? I'm just about tennised out after yesterday's efforts. I can't believe Federer came so close to getting knocked out. I also must take my hat off to myself for managing to stay awake and cheer Lleyton on until 5am. What a fucking good (albeit very scary) game.
